It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mrs. Shamra Hope Cassidy Felkel. Mrs. Felkel, 49, passed away Friday, September 27th, 2024.
Shamra was born in Hartsville, a daughter of Sarah Wilks (Larry) O’Neal and the late, William Scott Cassidy. She was a true outdoors person, loving her animals and fishing. One of her favorite groups to listen to was Fleetwood Mac and she loved having a good time. Growing up, her daughters remember her as being a very good mother, independent and sassy. Shamra enjoyed being fashionable and loved her jewelry.
Surviving are her children: Kasey Winburn, Kaleb Felkel, and Karli Felkel; grandchildren, Malayah Grandmaison and Jaxon Brumly; mother and step-father; siblings, Shylonda Vaught and Larry Alan O’Neal, Jr.; several nieces and nephews; and her friend and life-partner, Jason David Felkel.
She was preceded by her father; grandparents, Archie Neal Wilks, Sr. & Francis James Wilks; and a cousin, Agnus Leigh Wilks.
Memorial services will be held 3:00pm Sunday, December 15, 2024 at the Chapel of Norton Funeral Home. Rev. Danny Pierce will officiate. Visitation will follow the services.
Norton Funeral Home & Crematory is honored to be serving the Felkel family.
