Shane Michael Eccleston
12/31/09 – 04/19/25
Shane Michael Eccleston, 15 years old of North Las Vegas, NV, tragically passed on Saturday, 4/19/25, after a courageous struggle with his mental health.
Shane’s passing comes as a shock to his family, friends, and loved ones, who are still reeling at the loss. He came into the world in Fremont, CA. on 12/31/09 to Nathan Eccleston and Tracy Houlihan, and grew up a happy child in Fremont, California. Shane had a happy and playful child up growing up in California for the first half of his life and later even more wonderful chapters and an extended family for the last half of his life in Nevada. He lived a vibrant life and still had so much ahead of him.
Shane bravely battled through his difficult private struggles over this past year, always with their support of their loving family. Though times weren’t always easy, he knew that he was loved and cared for by those closest to him, and showed tremendous strength throughout it all. Shane was taken far too soon but is now at peace.
If you or a loved one are struggling with mental health, please reach out to your local support groups, hotlines or therapist. The first step is seeking help. Shane would not have wanted to see someone else having the same difficulties.
Shane was preceded in death by Phyllis DiMauro (Great Grand Mother) and is survived by Nathan Eccleston, (Father), Jennifer Eccleston (Mother), Damian Eccleston (Older Brother), Rosaleigh Gonzalez (Sister), Alexander Eccleston (Little Brother), Donna DeFrank (Grandmother), Larry DeFrank (Grand-Father), Jodi Novack-DeFrank (Aunt) and Paul DeFrank (Uncle) .
A memorial service will be held for Shane Tuesday, April 29th from 12-2pm at Davis Funeral Home 6200 S Eastern Ave. Las Vegas NV.
