Obituary:
It is with deep sadness our dad, Shane Alan Minugh, age 53, of Visalia, gained his wings, February 19, 2025. He was born July 31, 1971 in Exeter California to Estell and Avon Minugh.
Shane is missed and survived by his parents Estell and Avon Minugh. His four daughters Shadea Minugh, Kailani Minugh, Ashley Tenhet (Stepdaughter), and Bailey Creech (Stepdaughter). His five grandchildren Saylor Alynn Minugh-McNew, Evie, Ava, Kamea, and Samuel. His brother Shawn Minugh. His stepbrothers Lance Ortega and Cedar Ortega. His children's mother DeAnn Whelan along with many friends and family.
Shane graduated from Golden West High School in 1989 and later attended College of the Sequoias and continued his football career at Azusa Pacific.
Shane was a loving father, son, brother, grandfather, uncle, and friend. He loved spending time with friends and family doing the things he loved. He spent his time almost every weekend golfing with friends traveling all around to different courses. He loved to hunt, fish, and camp with his loved ones any time he could. He was very involved in his daughters Shadea and Kailani Minugh's athletics. He spent many hours training, coaching, and encouraging them to reach their full potential. With his coaching he took his daughter Shadea to Florida for a national tournament and Kailani to two state championships and a valley title. He made many sacrifices to be able to give his daughters everything.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents Harrison and Mable Brewer and grandparents Henry and Lily Minugh.
Our dad was the best man we knew. He had so many friends and so much family that he loved with his entire heart. Our dad gave us such a great life with so many amazing memories we have to cherish forever. From breakfast at his favorite places to getting our butt chewed for forgetting things at soccer tournaments then laughing about it after. We've seen so many new places and have had experiences we never would have had without our daddy. We will love and miss him forever.
