Shane Eric Posey, born on June 12, 1970, in Scott County, Mississippi, and a lifelong resident of Lake, MS, passed away on March 24, 2025, in Lake, Mississippi. His departure leaves a profound void in the lives of his family and friends who cherished him dearly.
Shane was a baptist by faith, and he was known for his warm spirit and willingness to lend a helping hand. His love for life was evident in his numerous passions. He found joy in mechanics, often diving into work on anything with a motor. His enthusiasm extended to motorcycles and fishing, where he spent many fulfilling hours outdoors. Additionally, Shane had a special hobby that brought him great joy—he loved making knives, a craft that showcased his creativity and skill.
He leaves behind a beloved fiancé, Christy Russell, of Lake, MS. Shane was a devoted father to his daughter, Eden Solo Camille Posey of Lake MS, and his four sons, William Samuel Lyric Brown, Shane Aaron Posey, and Morgan Blake Posey, all of Lake, MS, as well as Logan Brady Posey of Magee, MS. His step-daughter, Kristina Jay of Garlandsville, MS. Shane's love extended to his family, including his mother, Carley Posey of Lake, MS, and his siblings: sister Becky Bufkin (Kevin) of Pulaski, MS, and brothers Steve Posey (Dale) and Stacy Posey, both of Lake, MS. His legacy is further enriched by his two grandchildren, Tristan Posey and Emery Posey.
Shane was preceded in death by his father, Roger Posey, and his brother-in-law, Jerry Wolf, who will be remembered alongside him in the hearts of those who loved them.
Visitation will be held on March 27, 2025, from 10:30 AM to 11:45 AM, followed by a funeral service at noon, at Wolf Funeral Services located at 136 Front Street, Lake, MS 39092. Family and friends are invited to come together to honor and celebrate the life of Shane Eric Posey, a man whose kindness, talent, and love for his family will be dearly missed.
