Shanna L. Seeman

Shanna L. Seeman, age 52, of West Des Moines, passed away after an extended illness on Wednesday, March 6, 2024. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 16, 2024, at Kent Union Chapel, Brooklyn with Pastor Dorothy Banzhaf officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the charity of the donor's choice. Kloster Funeral Home, Brooklyn, is caring for Shanna and her family.
Shanna is survived by her parents Robert Franklin Pursley and Sally Mullikin Dose; her brother Robert Francis (Theresa) Pursley; stepbrother Bradley (Kristy) Dose, stepsister Patricia (Hector) Gallardo; maternal aunt Lynda (Richard) Rader, maternal uncle Robert (Bonny) Mullikan; paternal aunts Beverly Devine and Elizabeth Moore; her niece Jessi Anderson; and step nieces Elizabeth Dose and Emily Dose.
She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Robert and Lou Mullikin; and her paternal grandparents Martha Woosley and William Pursley.
Shanna Lyn Pursley was born February 11, 1972, in Omaha, Nebraska, the daughter of Robert Franklin and Sally Mullikin Pursley. She received her GED and went on to college at DMACC in Ankeny where she became a registered nurse. Shanna worked at various nursing homes and especially loved taking care of people with dementia and Alzheimer's disease. She spent her free time in her vegetable gardens, canning her crops. Shanna loved a good gourmet recipe challenge and shared with her family. She will be missed by all who knew her.
