SHANNON KAY CONAT  

Shannon K. Conat, 52, of Cass City, died unexpectedly Tuesday, December 26, 2023 in McLaren Lapeer Region Hospital.  She was born June 27, 1971 in Detroit to Donald and Jacquline (Lynch) Conat.   

Shannon attended school in Caro and Cass City.  She was a talented painter, and decorated many crafts and ceramics.  Shannon enjoyed traveling as long as she wasn’t the one doing the driving.  She liked to sing Karaoke and play Bingo.  Shannon loved her grandchildren and attending their sporting events.  She was also very good at playing pranks on them, which they loved.

Shannon is survived by her daughters:  Terra (Eric) Czekai-Thick of Cass City, Mandy Czekai of Cass City; their father, Terry Czekai; grandchildren:  Sawyer, Mady, Blake, Easton, Rhett; siblings:  Julie (Dan) Martinez, Becky (Bill) Gruber, Anna (Al) Garza, Barb (Matt) Baldwin, Merry (Mike) Gebauer, Connie (Gordon) Mapley, Cheryl (Jerry) Hooks, Mike Conat; many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.   She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Charles Conat, great nephew, Cayden Gohsman.        

Memorial service held 12:00 p.m. Saturday, January 6, 2024 in Cass City United Methodist Church with Pastor Robert Demyanovich officiating.  Memorials may be made to her daughters to be used at their discretion.  

      Visitation:  11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, January 6, 2024 in Cass City United Methodist Church
