Shannon Nicole Connors

Shannon Nicole Connors, nee McCarty, age 42, of Shiloh, Ill., was born September 14, 1983 in Las Vegas, Nev. She passed away Sunday, October 5, 2025 at her home.

She grew up in Las Vegas, and married a young Airman Demond Connors. She furthered her education at University of Phoenix, earning her master's degree in Criminal Justice. Shannon had most recently been employed as a sales rep for a food distribution company but had worked as a substitute teacher for many years throughout her husband's various military assignments, including Arkansas, and locally, at Mascoutah, Lebanon, and Belle Valley schools.

Shannon was a dedicated wife and mother and the "fun" parent to her four children. She was a compassionate and caring person, who was eager to do for others, especially sharing her love of cooking. She loved being outdoors - camping, fishing, and being at the beach or on a boat.

She is survived by her husband Demond Connors of Shiloh, Ill.; her children Colin (Alex) McCarty of Colorado Springs, Colo.; Keiran (fiancé Kelsie Wombacher) Connors of Mascoutah, Ill.; Caelynn Connors of Shiloh; Keiton Connors of Shiloh; parents Charles "Mac" and Lorrie, nee Palmer, McCarty of Las Vegas, Nev.; brother Robert (Amber) McCarty of Las Vegas, Nev.; and her four beloved grandchildren August, Arizona, Aspen, and Autumn.

She is preceded in passing by her maternal grandmother Jacque Eaton, her maternal grandfather Robert Palmer, paternal grandmother Charles Irene McCarty, and her paternal grandfather Charles Milton McCarty.

Visitation for family and friends will be from 2 – 5 pm, Sunday, October 12, 2025 at Wolfersberger Funeral Home, 102 W. Washington St., O'Fallon, Ill.
