Shannon Hines Hunt

Shannone Lea Hines Hunt, Cross Plains, TN, passed away November 1, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was 86 years old. She is survived by her devoted husband of 67 years, Albert Leroy Hunt, Sr, son Lee (Jill) Hunt of Dallas, GA, daughter Brenda (Jon) Dempsey of Cross Plains, TN, 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents John Harvey Hines and Mary Craven Hines, brother Johnnie Hines, sister Kathleen Darby, and great granddaughter Dana Kirby. Shannon was born in Nashville TN and lived there her entire life. She grew up wanting to be a cowboy like her idol Roy Rogers. She loved playing sports and earned her letters in Basketball and Tennis at Eash Nashville High School, class of 1956 – The 56 Chicks. She loved children and kept children in her home for many years, many of whom called her “Mama”. She enjoyed crafting, wood crafts, cross stitch, ceramics, painting, sewing, etc. She traveled a lot with her husband on motorcycles, bumping into friends along the way. She had a loving and generous heart, always willing to help anyone in need. Her friends and family will miss her dearly. A Celebration of Life will be held on November 16, 2024 at 2 pm at Trinity Baptist Church, 840 Forest Retreat Rd, Hendersonville, TN 37075.
