Mr. Fred Thomas "Tommy" Wilson, age 80, of Cross Plains, TN, passed away on Sunday, July 6, 2025 at 9:26 AM at the Alive Hospice in Nashville, TN.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Grace Free Will Baptist Church, 4273 Keith Road in Springfield, TN. A Celebration of Life service will follow at the church at 2:00 PM with Bro. Doug Spain officiating.
Tommy was born on December 22, 1944 in Robertson County, TN to the late James Marvin Wilson and the late Hattie Mae (Pitt) Wilson.
He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Kathy Wilson; daughter, Christy Wilson of Portland, TN; step-children, Melissa Bailey of Louisville, KY and Tim Bailey of Atlanta, GA; and a host of extended family and friends that he loved.
Tommy was a graduate of East Robertson High School and a veteran with the National Guard. He was a member of Grace Free Will Baptist Church. Tommy enjoyed killing hogs and hanging out with his buddies. He loved going to church after becoming saved 5 years ago.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Gilbert Funeral Home & Crematory, 325 West Cedar Street, Franklin, KY 42134, to help with Mr. Wilson's final expenses. Envelopes will be provided at the church.
