E. Jerldean "Jerri" Colbert, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 21st, 2026, at The Medical Center of Bowling Green, KY, at the age of 80. Born in Manila, AR, on January 15th, 1946, Jerri lived a life full of love.

Jerri was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse Davenport and Zella Mae (Hornbuckle) Davenport, her spouse, Doug Colbert, and her sisters, Bonnie Jean Ketcherside and Pauline Young. She was employed for many years as a dedicated grocery stocker at Wal-Mart.

She is survived by her two sons, Mike Hastings (Stephanie) of Franklin, KY and Randy Hastings (Trish) of Fairview, TN. Jerri was a loving grandmother to her four grandchildren: Joshua Hastings (Erica), Mick Hastings (Katelan), Brock Hastings, and Paige Hastings, and took great joy in her role as a great-grandmother to Silas, Jameson, Adaland, Wilder, and Millie Jo. Her family was her pride and joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them.

Jerri will be remembered for her kind spirit and unwavering devotion to her family. Her legacy of love, strength, and kindness will continue to inspire those who knew and loved her.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the pallbearers: Joshua Hastings, Mick Hastings, Brock Hastings, Brion Butterbrough, Dwayne Ketcherside and Kevin Horn.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 30, 2026, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at Gilbert Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. in Franklin, KY. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm at the funeral home with interment to follow in Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, KY.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to St. Jude’s’s Children’s Hospital, P.O. Box 1999, Memphis, TN 38101 or online at stjude.org.  Envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.
