Mrs. Shirley Jones, a beloved resident of Portland, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 1st, 2026, at the age of 76 at the Signature Healthcare of Portland, TN. Born on Tuesday, July 5th, 1949, in Searights, Pennsylvania, Shirley was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

She was a proud grandmother to four grandchildren: Brandon Anderson (Nicole), Wyatt Jones, Skyler Anderson, and Kyle Anderson, and a great-grandmother to her great-granddaughter, Hadley Anderson. Shirley is also survived by her sister, Joyce Ann Ross Kokay (Ronald) of Mentor, OH and many nieces, nephews and cousins that loved her very much.
She was preceded in death by her father, Charles William Ross, her mother, Emma Jean (Bosley) Ross, her son, Tyler Jones, and her siblings, Charles Ross, Patty Ross, Earl Ross, and Jimmy Ross.
Shirley was a warehouse worker at Macy's Distribution Center. Outside of work, Shirley found joy in simple pleasures. Her love for her dogs and watching hummingbirds brought her immense happiness. Above all, she was an avid and loving grandmother, cherishing every moment spent with her grandchildren.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the pallbearers: Dean Faulk, Charlie Faulk, Josh Humphrey, Wyatt Jones, Randy Ecker, and Brian Gaffield, for their support and service.
