On July 2, 1970, a baby boy was born to Randolph Randon, Sr., and Lucrecy Stroman, who they named Shannon Wayne Stroman, Sweeny, Texas, but was a Brazoria resident for his 55 years of life. Shannon accepted Christ and joined Israel Chapel AME Church, West Columbia, under the leadership of Pastor Herman Powell, Sr., where he served as an Usher, Church Board and Kitchen helper.

Shannon attended West Columbia High School. He worked in the Dow Chemical Plant, Brazos Harbor, Stewart's Grocery, Lone Star Motors Auto Shop, and had various experiences in other areas. His landscaping workmanship was breath taking and pleasing to the eyes. He loved hanging around the Lone Star Auto Shop with his friends Paul Howard and Ken Wasek. Judge Sharon Fox and her family were wonderful friends to Shannon. He considered her family as his play family.

He loved staying busy whether on the roof of a house, hammering, working in the yard, building things, or working on cars in his spare time. He also enjoyed playing cards and dominoes to which he often cheated. For relaxation he was often found outside under the shade trees.

Shannon was welcomed home by his parents, Randolph Randon, Sr., and Lucrey Stroman, his grandparents, Dallas Stroman, Henrietta Hodge Patterson, his son, Shannon Wayne Stroman, Jr., special son, Maceo Allen, his brother, James Dallas Bell and his sister, Vanessa Stroman.

He leaves to cherish special memories to the love of his life for many years, Helen Allen, his brothers, Clarence Pye, of Brazoria, Michael Stroman (Scherri), of Angleton, and Johnny R. Stroman (Becky) of Freeport; his sisters, Natalie S. Edwards, of Angleton, Willie Mae Pye (Richard), Helen Harris, Doris Nichols, and Carrie Stroman (Jerry) all of Brazoria; his special sister-in-law, Mary Jo Powell (Herman) of Brazoria; his special grandson Christian Allen; godmother Rosie Lee Thomas, Brazoria, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and numerous other loving relatives and friends.
