Shannon Utley, age 61 of Gatesville, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, August 17, 2023.
Memorial services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 1, 2023, at Scott’s Funeral Home with Pastor Chris Barrera officiating.
Shannon Kay Utley was born on March 27, 1962 to the late Bill and Esther Argo Brown in Bay City, Texas. She grew up in West Columbia, raised her children in Arkansas, and returned to her home in Texas. She was a caretaker for others whose smile brought joy and comfort to all who needed her. She ensured her children, grandchildren, siblings, and gaggle of nieces and nephews always knew they had a soft place to land. Shannon was always ready with an open heart to speak Jesus over every situation that presented itself. She brought the same love, faith, and compassion into her professional life as a Certified Nursing Assistant by ensuring her residents were treated with respect and grace.
She was welcomed to Heaven by her parents; three brothers, Richard, Bobby, and Tommy; and four sisters, Sandra, Ginger, Jean, and Lou Bell.
Shannon is survived by her husband, Kenneth of ten years; her children, Amberly, Randy, Tiffany, Stephanie, and Johnathan; brothers, Melvin, David, and Phillip; and sisters Dee Ann, Patti Ray, Wanda, and Vickie; 21 grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
