Shannon Leigh Wyatt was born on April 4, 1972, to Kenneth and Dorothy West at Grady Memorial Hospital in Chickasha, OK. She departed this life for her heavenly home on January 14th,2026, at the age of 53, after a short illness at Integris Southwest Hospital in Oklahoma City, OK.
She lived in Chickasha the entirety of her life, attending Southwest, Grand Avenue, and Friend grade schools, graduating from Chickasha High School in 1990. She was an avid ballerina and tap dancer during her grade school days and enjoyed playing basketball during middle school.
Shannon married Darrel Wyatt in 1989 and to this union welcomed 2 daughters, Lyndsey and Taylor Wyatt.
She started work at Grady Memorial Hospital in late 1990 and later worked at CVS, Jay’s Mini Stop, Circle K, again at Grady Memorial, Amazon and most recently at Costco’s Call Center.
In her leisure time, she was an ardent reader, loved researching family history on Ancestry.com, and was Brantlee’s biggest cheerleader at all of his sporting events.
Shannon gave her life to Jesus at age 9 and was a member of First Baptist Church Chickasha.
She is preceded in death by her father, Kenneth West, sister Michelle (Shelley) Fox, grandmother Virginia Blanchard, grandfather William Blanchard; grandparents Reginald and Evelyn West and nephew Austin Fox.
Shannon leaves behind her daughters Lyndsey and Taylor Wyatt, grandson Brantlee (Charlie Brown) Wright, parents Dorothy and Gary Grisham, niece Leeza Fox, her 2 fur babies, Leo and Max, along with several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
It was Shannon’s wish to be cremated. Arrangements are with Sevier Funeral Home in Chickasha, Ok. Memorial Services will be held on January 24, 2026, at 1:00 PM at First Baptist Church, Chickasha, OK.
