Shari Jo Clark

Shari Jo Clark, 67, of Midland, passed away Sunday, March 1, 2026 at MyMichigan Medical Center. She was born October 1, 1958 in Gladwin, daughter of Jack Dougals Clark and the late Donella Elaine (Thomas) Clark. Shari grew up in Hope on the family farm and attended school in Midland, graduating from Dow High School. Several years later, after starting a family of her own, she decided to go back to school and earned an associate's degree in accounting. Although she enjoyed this path, Shari was offered a position with the Dow Chemical Company so she moved on to become a lab technician, a job she enjoyed for the next 22 years. Feeling the need for another change in her life, she went to work for a local manufacturing company for the last five years, retiring in December of 2025. Outside of work, Shari enjoyed living a simple life, watching the Game Show Network and doing word find puzzles. Time with her family was always time well spent to Shari, laughing, joking, and just being together.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Shaun Clark, Sarah (Brad) Alvesteffer; and Tiffany Clark; grandchildren, Zoey and Parker Alvesteffer; father, Jack Clark; brothers, Michael (Rebecca) Clark and Ryan Clark; special nephew, Chad Clark; as well as several other nieces and nephews. In addition to her mother, Donella, Shari was preceded in death by her brother Tim Clark.

Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Shari's life will be held at a later date. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider the family. All of us at Ware Smith Woolever are honored the Clark family has entrusted us with the care of their loved one.
