Sharlene Evaline Neal, 82, of Marion, passed away, Monday, September 15, 2025. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 3, 2025, at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service beginning at 10:00 AM.

Sharlene was born on January 7, 1943, in Tracy, MN, the daughter of William H. and Helen E. (Koser) Haney. She married Mickey Ray Neal on October 13, 1962, in Cedar Rapids, and together they had three children. Sharlene worked as an assistant in the office of Dr. Ted Munger and later Dr. Dan Russell. In her free time, she enjoyed playing cards. She also loved to bake fresh cookies and bars for those who would stop by for coffee. Sharlene looked forward to going out for Friday night suppers. She liked to read and loved attending church on Sundays. Sharlene loved to make crafts for family and friends. Her friends and family were very important to her, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Sharlene was adored by all and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her daughters, Kathy Neal, and Sandra (Jim) Nichting; Daughter in law, Wendy Neal; grandchildren; Nick (Lindsay) Neal, Eric (Cadey) Nichting, Kyle (Keli) Nichting, Justin Nichting, Jordan (Erin) Nichting, Jessica (Nick) Wilson, Gunnar Neal, and Jennifer Neal; great grandchildren, Breeze, Chance, Briar, Rainey, Mackenzie, Tyler, Evelyn, Zeno, Skyler, and Jackson, and step-grandchildren Lexus, Lily, Rylee, and Zailey.

Sharlene is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Mick Neal, son Michael, a great grandson Kinnick Neal, and sister Kathleen Radke.

Memorials may be directed to the family.
