Sharon Ackert, 70, of Rothsay, died Wednesday, March 5, 2025 at Sanford on 23rd in Fargo.
Sharon Christina Haslerud was born November 5, 1954 to Harry and Gertrude (Linck) Haslerud in Breckenridge, MN. She attended Rothsay Public School, graduating in 1972.
On September 23, 1973, Sharon married John Boyd Ackert in Rothsay. As a beloved wife and mother, Sharon spent her years being a homemaker. She also worked as a dishwasher at the Rothsay Truck Stop and a housekeeper at the Rothsay Motel.
She enjoyed caring for her children and grandchildren, spending time on her deck and the pontoon, watching westerns, and listening to old country music.
Preceding her in death were her husband, John; son, Bobby; parents, Gertrude and Harry; son-in-law, Dale Larson, and parents-in-law, Darrell and Norma.
Sharon is survived by her children, Christina Larson of Rothsay, Billy Ackert of Rothsay, and David Ackert of Crookston; grandchildren, Cody (MiKayla Bauer) Larson of Big Stone City, SD, Toni (Hunter) Meyer of Wahpeton, Gracie Ackert of Moorhead, Colten Ackert of Rothsay, Johnny and Roy of Wahpeton, and Logan Ackert of Moorhead; great-grandchildren, Hudson Meyer and Big Red; her sister and brother-in-law, Karen (Steve) Cooley of Crookston; adopted son and daughter, Reed and Jenn; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Steve and Barb Ackert and Bruce and Laura Ackert, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Celebration of Life: 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Friday, March 14, 2025 at the Rothsay Powerhouse, Rothsay, MN
