Sharon Baier, 81, of Kulm, ND, died November 5, 2024, at Avera St. Luke's Hospital, Aberdeen, SD. In honor of Sharon's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral service.
Sharon (Werth) Baier was born August 30, 1943, in Harvey, ND. She was the only child born to Gottlieb and Evelyn (Kohlman) Werth. Sharon grew up in the Martin, ND area and graduated from Martin High School. On November 25, 1960, she was united in marriage to Hilmer Baier. Married life took them to California and various places in North Dakota before settling on a farm near Kulm, ND in 1973. Together they worked side by side building a grain and dairy operation as well as raising four daughters.
Sharon loved the outdoors, and you could often find her doing the smallest project to the biggest project. She believed in quality work, and it showed in the many awards she and Hilmer received over the years as Top Producers of quality milk from Land O' Lakes and later Cass Clay. Sharon found enjoyment in collecting and creating recipes, visiting family and friends, attending church services at Zion Lutheran Church in Edgeley, ND, and doing some traveling over the years with and without her faithful family member, Jesse.
Sharon is survived by her daughters, Lona, LaDonna (Randy), LaRhonda (Andy) and LaVora (Lee); grandchildren, Michael (Trisha), Christopher, Dallas, Colton, Destiney (Trevor) and Thomas; great-grandchildren, Austin, Colt and Braxton; step great-grandchildren, Tyler and Tristan; sister-in-law, Bonnie (Les); two nieces and two nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hilmer; her parents; daughter RaeLeen; half-brother Gerald; two sisters-in-law; and one brother-in-law; along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
