Sharon Marie (nee Shipley) Bare passed away at Waukesha Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at the age of 80. She was born in Mishawaka, Indiana on January 13, 1943, the daughter of Harold and Bernice A. (nee Porter) Shipley. She married her husband of 59 years, Kenneth Bare, on August 8, 1964, in South Bend, Indiana. Sharon will always be remembered as an excellent mother, homemaker, and friend. She always had time for others. She was a member of Southminster Presbyterian Church where she served as a Deacon and was a member of the hand bell choir. She was also a member of the Elks Ladies Auxiliary. In 1998 she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and made sure to help others with MS by raising funds at the Greater Bogey Bare Golf outing each year.

Sharon is survived by her beloved husband, Kenneth Bare; children, Scott (Charlot) Bare of Mukwonago and Lynn (Jeff) Ruekert, of Waukesha; grandchildren, Samantha Ruekert, Caitlyn (Joe) Pitrowski, Laurin (B.J.) Goble, and Molly Smith; great-grandson, Kyrin, and other relatives and many friends. She is preceded in death by her sister, Kay Mitchell, and her parents.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. funeral service at Southminster Presbyterian Church, 200 Richard Street, Waukesha, WI 53189. Entombment will follow the service at Prairie Home Cemetery. Memorials are appreciated to National Multiple Sclerosis Society, https://www.nationalmssociety.org/.
