Sharon Lorraine Brown

Sharon L Brown of Wray Co, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family this past Saturday September 21, 2024. She was 81. She was born at home in Buena Vista, Co on Nov 6, 1942, to Ethel and Lorane Bertschy. She grew up and graduated from Buena Vista High School.
Sharon is survived by her daughters Lori Fear (Boulder), KarenMerritt/Cliff (Wray) and Marci Goings (Buena Vista) and preceded in death by her daughter Kim Newton and grandson, Seth Goings. Sharon lived in several areas of Colorado and finally settled in Wray in 2011. Sharon's biggest love was her 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren who she spent countless hours visiting, spending time with, and making scrapbooks of their lives. She loved to travel and especially loved a trip on a train with her sisters. She had a creative spirit and loved scrapbooking and especially card making where her true artistry became prominent. Every family member and many lucky friends looked forward to her beautiful, original cards. She had a kind and giving spirit and remained positive about life. She will be missed by many.
Family plans a private gathering to celebrate her life and in lieu of flowers donation to Hospice of the Plains or Donor Alliance of Colorado appreciated.Schmidt-Jones Funeral Home are in charge of arrangments..
