Sharon Marie Brown was born on August 9, 1965, in Trenton, New Jersey, to Frederick Kophazy Sr. and Mary K. (Ray) Kophazy. She married Stacy Lee Brown on January 13, 1991, and together they had two sons and celebrated nearly 35 years of marriage.

Throughout her career, Sharon worked in various nursing homes within the local area, primarily in dietary services. Her dedication to her work was evident, and she was known for her friendly and approachable nature. Currently, she was employed at Hickory Estates Memory Care in Pana, where she continued to demonstrate her caring attitude and commitment to her residents.

Sharon was known for her lively personality-she was silly, outgoing, and talkative, making friends easily wherever she went. Her caring and sentimental nature made her a beloved figure among family, friends, and colleagues. She enjoyed engaging in hobbies such as bird watching, sewing, crocheting, tennis, and playing classic Nintendo games, which brought her joy and relaxation. Above all, she cherished spending quality time with her family and her beloved pets, including Daffy, Melba, Grizzly "Pupper," and Mercy "Kitty". Her life was marked by her warmth, humor, and dedication to those she loved.

She will forever be remembered by her husband, Stacy Brown of Ramsey; son, Eric Brown with Sarah Bursich of Carbondale; son, Karl Brown of Granite City; grandson, Orilius Leone Brown; nephew, Daniel Kophazy; numerous nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Frederick Kophazy Jr. and Kenneth Kophazy; an infant sister, Marleen Kophazy; niece, Sarah Kophazy; and her canine companion, Sophie.

Sharon, thank you for being my daughter's 2nd "mom". You always brought a big smile to my face in school and always had fun when we'd hang out. You were a genuine goofy and loving being!! You will be missed although it'd been many years since I saw you. You're part of us "old souls", and my condolences to your husband and boys and their families....and other family and friends. Praying for peace and comfort to them all......
