Sharon Sue (George) Buro, 80, of New Port Richey, Florida, peacefully went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 18th, 2024.
Shari was born on February 29th, 1944, in Lawrence, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her parents Walter and Betty (Botts) George. Upon graduating from William Chrisman High School in Independence, MO Shari attended St Luke's School of Nursing in Kansas City, MO. She had a 50-year career as a registered nurse working in Labor and Delivery for her entire career. New parents could not have been in better hands!!
Shari is survived by her spouse of 60 years Frank Buro of New Port Richey, FL; her two daughters Beth Maher of Oak Grove, MO, and Christi Skrelunas (Matt Kenna) of Holiday, FL; her three precious granddaughters Miranda Martino (Jose Rangel) of Greeley, CO, Jessica Skrelunas, and Jenna Skrelunas, both of Tampa, FL. She is also blessed with her sister Sheila George of Independence, MO; and her brother John George (Debi) North Kansas City, MO; as well as several nieces and nephews!
Shari was a beautiful soul who touched the lives of so many, especially in her family and her career as a nurse. She asked for so little, but she gave so much! A loving person tender and kind, what a beautiful memory she has left behind. Shari was always a shining example of love and strength. She will forever be in our thoughts, and forever in our hearts until we see her again.
A small, family viewing was planned for Thursday, June 20th. Her private burial took place on June 21st at the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL. We will have a glorious Celebration of Shari's Life for family and friends at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, and to honor her love of animals, donations can be made in Shari's name to: The Runaways Animal Rescue The ASPCA Odessa Animal Sanctuary
