In Loving Memory of Sharon Annmarie Colquhoun

With hearts full of love and gratitude, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, in-law, cousin, niece, and friend, who left this world peacefully on November 27, 2025, at Duke Raleigh Hospital, North Carolina.

Born in Kingston, Jamaica to Merlin Styles and W. Winston Colquhoun, Sharon lived a life defined by kindness, resilience, and an unwavering devotion to those she loved as well as her work. She had a gift for making everyone feel seen and valued, whether through her warm smile, her listening ear, or the countless meals she prepared with love.

Sharon was more than all the loving names we mentioned - she was a guiding light, a safe harbor, and a source of endless encouragement. She taught us the beauty of simple joys: the laughter shared over a kitchen table, at home, or at work. She was like a magic garden in bloom.

She is survived by her son Shaquille; sisters Paula and Lisa; brothers David, Patrick, and Junior; father Winston; granddaughter Scarlet; Nieces Lorian, Jaime, Ashli, Chrisan and Alexia; Nephews Jordan and Jonathan; Sister-in Law Judith; Daughter-in law Zugeily; brother-in-law Garnett, cousins (too many to write), aunts Hermin, Viris, Clarice, Myrtle, Olive, Hilma, Rose, and Marcia; and uncles Vernon, Donald, Lawrence, and Keith. Her family will continue to honor her legacy of compassion and grace. While her absence is deeply felt, her enduring influence remains an integral part of their lives.

A celebration of Sharon's life will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at 12:00 pm at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale, NC 27545. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be held prior to the service at 11:00 am.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the Memorial Sloan Kettering, NY, and Duke Cancer Center, Durham, NC, reflecting her lifelong commitment to helping others fight cancer.

Her presence was a blessing, her memory a treasure, and her love a gift beyond measure.
