Sharon Beth Columbia

Sharon Beth Columbia, 89, of South Bend, IN., passed away at 2:02 p.m. Monday, October 13, 2025, at Memorial Hospital in South Bend.
Sharon was born on November 1, 1935, in St. Joseph County, IN. to Ernest and Wava (Caldwell) Hooley.
On September 18, 1954, in St. Joseph County Sharon married Thelbert Columbia. Thelbert preceded her in death on March 22, 2013.
Sharon was also preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Carol Columbia and her sister, Elinor Olinger. Sharon is survived by her two sons, Michael Columbia of Fort Wayne, IN and David Columbia of New Buffalo, MI.
Sharon held various positions with Chase Bank for 13 years, retiring in 2000. She also taught kindergarten Sunday school for over 50 years at First Baptist Church in Mishawaka; teaching all those children was a highlight of her life.
Funeral services for Sharon will be held on Saturday, October 18, at 10:30 a.m. at the Palmer Funeral Home – Bubb Chapel, 3910 N. Main Street, Mishawaka, with a visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m. until service time. Rev Kevin Patterson will officiate the services with burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery in Mishawaka.
