Sharon D. Crane

With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we announce the passing of Sharon Denise Crane (Jones), known to many as Sheri, on January 18th, 2026, at the age of 59 in Michigan City, Indiana.

She was born on June 28th, 1966, to her late parents, Maurice Jones Sr. and Bobbie Jean Jackson (Baltimore).

Sheri enjoyed cooking, cleaning houses, and caring for the elderly. She loved gardening each spring and had a passion for collecting all things related to frogs. She had two beloved fur babies, her dog Bobby and her cat Tidums. Sheri treasured spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, whom she loved unconditionally, as well as many close friends she considered family. She was always smiling and could light up any room she entered. One of her favorite places to visit was the Blue Chip Casino.

Sheri was preceded in death by her aunt Kristine; her sisters, Diana Jank and Trudy Jones; and her brothers, Dewayne Jones, Eugene Jones, Douglas Jones, Danny Jones, Kenny Jones, and Johnny Jones.

She leaves behind her husband of 13 years, Michael Crane; her four children, Melissa Jones (Tino Wells), Amanda Guzman, Cody Jones (Kristi), and Cory Jacobs; and ten grandchildren: Robert, Nevaeh, Kaydyn, Alessandro, Aurelio, CJ, Braylynn, Kaiser, Nealon, and Emery. She is also survived by her siblings, Thomas "Tommy" Jones, Rebecca "Becky" Jones, Linda Killingsworth, and her beloved sister-in-law, Linda Jones.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, February 15th, 2026, at the DAV, 2301 Ohio St., Michigan City, IN 46360, from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM.

Sheri is deeply missed and loved by many.
