Sharon L. Dodge, born on March 20, 1947, in Detroit, Michigan, passed away on December 5, 2025, at Intersect Healthcare of Roscommon surrounded by her family. She was a beloved wife, mother, and cherished member of the extended family.
Sharon's professional journey began at the National Bank of Detroit, where she started as a part-time Safe Deposit Clerk. Through her dedication and hard work, she rose through the ranks to become an Assistant Vice President, leaving a legacy of commitment and integrity in her field.
A vibrant spirit, Sharon spent weekends, with her husband Harry, in St. Helen beginning in 1965, before making it their permanent home in 1995. Their love for the outdoors was evident in their passions for boating, dune buggies, motorcycles, and snowmobiling. They also ventured into property management, owning and maintaining five rental houses. Alongside her personal interests, Sharon dedicated her time as Treasurer for the St. Helen Bluegill Festival, showcasing her commitment to community service.
In addition to their summer retreats, Sharon and Harry delighted in spending winters in Fort Myers, Florida, a tradition they started in 1994. They purchased a winter home in 2000, which became a haven for their family and friends. A lover of travel, they fondly explored the nation in their RV, creating memories across the United States.
Sharon's hobbies included crafts, ceramics, bowling, going to garage sales and enjoying golf cart rides. She had a special place in her heart for casino outings, where she shared laughter and excitement with friends and family.
Sharon celebrated a significant milestone in her life when she beat cancer in 2023. This victory became one of her proudest accomplishments, embodying her resilience and determination in the face of adversity.
Sharon is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Harry, whom she married on August 29, 1964; her son, Rick (Lynn) Dodge; and cherished cousins including Laura, Judy, Nancy, and Joe. She also leaves behind numerous beloved family members from the Dodge side, six brothers and sisters-in-law, and 13 nieces and nephews, all of whom will carry her memory in their hearts.
She was predeceased by her mother, Marion Devon, who no doubt welcomed her with open arms.
