Sharon Doud

Mrs. Sharon Jean Lewis Doud, age 75 of Ridgeland, SC passed away on November 16, 2025 at her residence, surrounded by her family.

Visitation will be held on Saturday November 22, 2025 from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM at Anderson Funeral Home in Beaufort, SC.

Sharon was born on July 13, 1950 in Belle, Missouri. She attended Belle High School where she was a member of the marching and jazz bands. She won the John Phillip Sousa band award. She also won first chair in a band competition on the saxophone. She played volleyball and softball and was a member of the Pep club. She later moved to Memphis TN, where she met her future husband Chuck who, at the time, was a Sargent in the Marine Corps. They married in 1970 and traveled the world. She was a very proud Military wife. She became an accountant and made it a career in which she excelled at until her retirement. She had two children, which she considered her greatest accomplishments. She was a La Leche league member and provided support and training to breast feeding mothers. In retirement, she enjoyed traveling to national and state parks and visiting family.

She is survived by, her Husband of 55 years Charles Doud and her son, Joshua Doud of Ridgeland SC, her daughter, Katey Doud of Wethersfield CT, her granddaughters Mackenzie Carter of Philadelphia PA and Anslee Doud of Beaufort SC, her brother John Purviance (Ginny), her brother Tim Purviance (Marcie), her brother Randall Lewis (Mary), her sister Lana Marcotte.

She was preceded in death by her Mother, Wilma Purviance and Step-Father, Charles Purviance, father, Raymend Lewis, brother, Rex Purviance; and sisters, Michele Purviance and Charla Ash.
