Sharon Kay was born on January 21, 1953, in Altus to William J., Sr. and Lara (Maddox) Duke. She grew up in Altus and attended Altus schools. Sharon was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church. She enjoyed crocheting and word search puzzles.
Her parents; husband, James Busby; two sisters, Eunice Owen and Sue Weston; a brother, William J. Duke, Jr.; and two brothers-in-law, Dean Weston and Roger Weston; preceded her in death.
Survivors include two sisters, Laura Freehling and husband, Mel, and Kathy Weston; six nephews, Ricky Owen, Jeff Owen, Erick Weston, Cecil Duke, Shawn Freehling, and Larry Owen; five nieces, Crystal Weston, Stacy Keevill, Karen Lingar, Heather Freehling, and Amber Tobar; and many other family and friends.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at the Lowell-Tims Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Brent Logan officiating. Burial will follow in the Martha Cemetery under the care of the Lowell-Tims Funeral Home and Crematory.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children at obhc.org.
