Sharon Dull Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sharon Kay Dull, 83, of Castle Rock, Colorado. Sharon passed away peacefully with her daughter Shari and son-in-law Kevin by her side, just as she had wished.

Born in Portland, Indiana, Sharon married her high school sweetheart and was a mother to 4 children. Sharon’s life was one of adventure and service. She and her late husband, Martin, followed their children and families across several states before settling in Easley, South Carolina. There, they devoted much of their time to volunteering at the local hospice house and later became foster parents. In 2011, Sharon and Martin were honored as Foster Parents of the Year.

After the passing of her husband of 52 years, Sharon continued to cherish her family, caring for her great-grandchildren whom she adored. Her soft heart for children was evident throughout her life, both in her role as a mother and as a grandmother and great-grandmother.

Sharon was a woman of creativity and intellect, with a love for the arts, technology, and new experiences. In 2024, she moved to Colorado to be closer to her daughter, where she enjoyed the stunning views and mountain rides. One of her fondest memories was celebrating her 50th wedding anniversary with Martin on a cross-country road trip followed by an Alaskan cruise.

Sharon is now reunited in heaven with her beloved husband Martin, a place where she is no doubt overjoyed to be.

Sharon is survived by her son, Robert G. Dull, and daughter, Shari Yoders (Kevin), as well as her grandchildren: Christian (Tyler) Snead, Sierra (Tommy) Dunaway, and Bryce Dull. She leaves behind 11 great-grandchildren: Steven, Brayden, Lydia, Grayson, Ella, Levi, Lucas, Hudson, Phoenix, Hazel, and Ruby. Sharon is also survived by her loving sisters: Janice Morgan, Sue Shields, and Leslie (Mike) Morris, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Martin G. Dull, her sons Terry G. Dull and Martin G. Dull Jr., and her brothers Dale Stults, Dan Stults, Bruce Stults and her brother in law Jerry Shields.

She is a member of First Baptist Church in Cross Hill, SC. A Graveside Memorial Service will be held at the Cross Hill First Baptist Church Cemetery, 13260 Highway 72, Cross Hill, SC on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at 11:00AM with Rev. Robert Fleming officiating.
