Sharon Lynne Easterday Vaughn, 76 of Lafayette passed away on Monday October 20, 2025. Born in Lafayette, Indiana on September 20, 1949 she was the daughter of the late Robert William and Vivien Pearl (Gard) Smith.
Sharon was a registered nurse for many years working at the home hospital and as a case nurse at St. Elizabeth. She loved her job and she would often say that if she could, she would still be working as a nurse. It was always in her nature to care for others and lead with a servant's heart.
She married Johnnie Lee Vaughn in December of 1984, in the chapel at St. Elizabeth Hospital. Sharon was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church and enjoyed watching the Catholic tv station.
Survived by her husband Johnnie Lee Vaughn, her son Charles Allen Easterday and her sister Marilyn Ordille.
