Sharon Goeldel Obituary
Sharon is survived by her husband of 58 years, Robert Goeldel; children, Robert (Toni) and William (Jennifer); and grandchildren, Kirsten and Jacob. She was preceded in death by her siblings; Jack, Mary Lou, and Shirley.
Sharon was born on March 14, 1940, in Grand Rapids, Michigan to Napoleon Joseph Seymour and Katherine Seymour (Calkins). She graduated from Mt. Mercy in 1958. She married Robert Goeldel in September of 1965.
Sharon was an accomplished organist and pianist. She was the accompanist for all of the choirs at St. Jude's Catholic Church for 25 years. She also occasionally played at St. Patrick Parnell, St. Robert's Catholic Church, and St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lowell. In her spare time she loved painting, riding horses, spending time with her dogs, and playing golf (regular and frisbee).
Gathering of family and friends will take place Friday, September 6, 2024, from 10:00am until 11:00am at St. Robert's Catholic Church, 6477 Ada Drive Ada, MI 49301, with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00am and a luncheon to follow. Everyone is welcome to attend and celebrate Sharon's life.
