Mary Suzanne Christensen passed from this earth onto her forever home on Sunday, March 8, 2026 while in the comfort of her recliner and with the Golden Girls on TV.
She was born on March 19, 1955 to Augusta and William Christensen, who she is now rejoicing with in the Heavens. Along with her brother, William T. Christensen, and her brothers-in-law, Fred Shortsle and Joe Jangda as they are all sitting around having their toasts of Canadian Club and Diet Coke.
Mary dedicated 37 years to Rapistan Corp, now Dematic. Mary was a very proud member of United Auto Workers Local No. 1485, along with being very involved in all UAW events. Her love for her union brothers and sisters was evident.
Mary is survived by her loving siblings: Barb (Mike) Cole, Bonnie Jangda, Connie (Raymond) Cochenour, Nancy Shortsle and John (Julie) Christensen.
Mary was also known as the “favorite aunt”, by many nieces, nephews along with many great nieces and nephews. Mary’s love for her nieces and nephews overflowed when they would call, visit and do surprise drop ins.
Mary spoiled you with LOVE like no other and you felt it when you left. She never let you leave without a “your favorite aunt loves you”.
Mary’s legacy is to love, give, laugh and go on a good adventure. “Do it now and don’t wait, life goes by fast so do it”!
In her honor do random acts of kindness and please tell your family and friends you love them. Per her wishes, a private family gathering will be held.
