Sharon Grainger

Grainger, Sharon, was born on November 10, 1941 in Detroit, MI to John and Delores Roesler. Sharon, who resided in Livonia, Michigan, passed away peacefully on November 16, 2025 at the age of 84. Beloved wife of Barry who have been together for 70 wonderful years and married 65 loving and adventurous years. Loving mother of Keith (Rose) Grainger, Cathy (Joe) Booth and Beckie (Tony) Curto. Dear sister of Jackie Roesler and Dawn (Jeff) Lofgren. Dearest grandmother of Melissa, Krista (Chris), The late Carla, Nikki, Rachelle and Ashley (Sean). Loving great-grandmother of Myah, Rami, The late Lylah, Mackenzie, Caleb, Blake, Riley and Henry. She is also survived by her nieces Jessica (Jacob) Fazekas, Allison (Gerald) Chizmadia, nephew Matt Lofgren, great niece Emma and great nephew Austin.
Sharon will be lovingly remembered for the family gatherings she cherished so deeply, always cooking for everyone and filling her surroundings with warmth, laughter and the smell of her delicious meals. Sharon spent countless hours crocheting beautiful creations for those she loved. She found joy in the beauty of flowers and receiving them. Sharon truly treasured her time with her husband up north at their cottage. Whenever she and her husband visited the casinos, she could be found playing her favorite slot machines, playing with a smile and excitement. When she wasn't at the casino, she enjoyed her time at Bingo where familiar faces and friendly chatter brought her happiness. Sharon was a woman who saw the best in everyone and always had her home open to anyone with open arms. She saw the joy in life's simple pleasures and will be deeply missed by her dear husband, family and friends.
Visitation Wednesday, November 19, 2025 from 2:00-8:00 p.m. at the Allen Park Chapel of Voran Funeral Home, 5900 Allen Rd. (313) 928-2300. Funeral service Thursday 12:00 noon at the funeral home.
