Miller Mortuary - LiberalSharon Kay Jones, a beloved homemaker and cherished wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully at her home in Turpin, Oklahoma, on Friday September 26, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Sharon was born on May 20, 1956, to Kenneth and Nona Hook in Beaver, Oklahoma. She touched the lives of many with her warmth, kindness, and unwavering dedication to her family.
Sharon Kay married Orville D. Jones on January 28, 1975. Their 50-year partnership was a testament to the deep bond they shared, filled with laughter, love, and countless cherished memories.
Sharon Kay found immense joy in the company of her family, often spending her time camping and hunting with them. Those adventures in nature became treasured moments that her family will always hold close to their hearts. Equally passionate about creative pursuits, ceramics, and crafts, which reflected her vibrant spirit and her ability to create beauty in all facets of her life. She enjoyed bowling and was a member of the Women's Bowling League. She also took great joy in others that called her Mom.
Sharon Kay leaves behind a loving legacy as she is survived by her devoted spouse, Orville D. Jones, her three sons: Michael Eikenberry of Turpin, OK, Barry Jones of Turpin, OK, and Christopher Jones of Baker, OK; and her four daughters: Tanya Whan and husband Justin of Cimarron, KS, Terrie Jones of Edmond, OK, Brandi Jones, and Shawna Davis and husband Chris of Liberal, KS. She also leaves behind three granddaughters: Alexis Dudley and husband Troy of Manhattan, NY, Trysta Duerson of Edmond, OK, and Jordan Jones of Turpin, OK; six grandsons: Lorin Jones of Turpin,OK, Clayton Jones and wife Koti of Buffalo, OK, James Duerson of Edmond, OK,Dammion Davis of Liberal, KS, Devan Hodge of Turpin, OK, and Harley Davis of Liberal, KS; a great-granddaughter: Eloise Jones of Buffalo, OK; and her two sisters,Sherryl Kerr and Carol Martin.
Sharon Kay was preceded in death by her son, Orville Jones, Jr., and her parents,Kenneth Ivan Hook, Nona Leon Hook, and brother Barry Hook.
There will be no public viewing, as cremation has taken place.
A Memorial Gathering of Family & Friends will be 12:00 Noon to 3:00 PM on Saturday October 11, 2025 at the Methodist Church in Turpin, OK.
