Sharon “Sherry” Jones of Sykesville, Maryland, passed away peacefully on October 15th. Born to John and Mary Lear, Sherry lived a life marked by grace, generosity, and unwavering faith. She was the devoted wife of Thomas Jones with whom she celebrated 58 years of marriage in August.
Sherry was the cherished mother of Shonda (Jim) Musselwhite, Nicole (Jose) Fuentes, and Troy (Kate) Jones. Her legacy continues through her beloved grandchildren whom she adored and delighted in spending time with: Marah and Shares Musselwhite, Carter and Sydney Jones, and Stefano and Diego Fuentes. She was also a treasured aunt to many, offering warmth, wisdom, and a listening ear to generations of nieces and nephews.
A woman of deep faith, Sherry found joy in gospel music and in serving her church community. Her laughter lit up every room, and her presence made others feel seen and cared for. She had a gift for making everyone feel welcome, her cards and spirit of hospitality will be remembered with love.
The family will receive friends on Friday, October 24, 2025, from 3-5 & 7-9 PM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA 1212 West Old Liberty Road Sykesville, MD 21784, where Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at 11 am.
Private Graveside.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Samaritan’s Purse, a ministry close to Sherry’s heart, Samaritan’s Purse, PO Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607.She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
