Sharon Sophie Kane

KANE, SHARON. A most loving wife, mother and grandmother, passed away on February 3, 2026, at the age of 72, in Shelby Township, Michigan. She was born on October 25, 1953, in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Henry and Isabelle (Piatkiewicz) Bramezza. She was the middle child of five siblings. Sharon was a proud graduate of St. David's High School, Class of 1971, and was voted class queen her senior year.

On October 26, 1973, she married the love of her life, Jeff Kane. Their marriage was blessed with one son, Jeff Kane Jr. Jeff Jr. later married his loving wife, Christina, who blessed us all with two wonderful granddaughters, Emily (16) and Allison (11).

Professionally, Sharon worked as an administrative assistant for Wayne County and eventually retired from the State of Michigan Department of Licensing.

Sharon loved to sew and create clothing, purses, and furniture for her family and friends. She was an avid traveler and boater who never missed an opportunity to be with family and friends.

Sharon was preceded in death by her sisters, Christine and Gina, along with her brother, Paul.

Sharon would wake up in the morning singing. She would gleefully dance for you at the drop of a hat. She filled any occasion with her beauty, joy, love, and warmth. We have been truly blessed to have had her presence in our lives.

Memorial Gathering will take place on Friday, February 20, 2026 beginning at 9:30am at St. Kieran Church 53600 Mound Rd. (btw. 24 & 25 Mile Rds.) until time of Memorial Mass at 10:00am.
