Sharon Evonne Kight, 64, of Oakland, made it to her heavenly home on January 22, 2025, with her family by her side. Born on December 2, 1960, in Oakland, she was the daughter of the late Blaine and Katherine (Hebb) Kight.

Sharon was Christian by faith, actively participating in various church communities throughout her life. Her faith was a cornerstone, guiding her through life's many seasons. After graduating Southern High School at the age of 17, she started working for Bausch & Lomb until its closure, where she was known for her dedication and hard work. Beyond her professional life, Sharon thrived in more rustic endeavors; she was often seen mending fences and baling hay. Sharon's creative side flourished in her love for poetry. She shared her passion with the world, having two of her poems published, much to the delight of those who knew her literary talent. An enthusiast of the outdoors, Sharon found joy in riding motorcycles and caring for horses, activities that reflected her love for adventure and nature. However, above all, her greatest love was reserved for her family, whom she cherished deeply.

She is survived by her siblings, Doug Kight and wife Dawn of Oakland, Barbara Guggenheim and husband Steve of Kingwood, Leslie Harvey and husband Jim of Swanton, Valerie Pierce and husband Colin of Tunnelton; nephews and nieces, Craig Myers and wife Jennifer, Jessica Rhodes and husband Brock, Logan Myers, Dustin Williams and wife Chelsie, Emily Williams and fiance Kevin Kellison, and Amy Shreve and husband Ryan; bonus nephew and niece, Travis Harvey, and Brittany Green and husband Alex; great nephews and nieces, Madison, Allison, Coltin, Gavin, Chase, Blair, Barrett, Emma, Tucker, and Travis; a great great niece, Marley; and her beloved family dog, Molly.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother in law, Tim Myers and nephew, Jason Myers.

Sharon will be most remembered for her kind heart, willing to help anyone in need.

Friends will be received on Sunday, January 26, 2025, from 12 PM to 2 PM, at the C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N. Second St., Oakland. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM in the funeral home with Pastor Sonny McNear officiating. A graveside service will be held at a later date.

The C & S Fredlock Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Kight family.
