Sharon passed away peacefully during the early morning hours of July 9. Her courage and bravery over the last 6-1/2 years battling cancer are a testament to her character and the way in which she approached life. It cannot, and will not, be said that she lost her battle with cancer. Quite the contrary, the cancer is now dead and Sharon's spirit lives on stronger than ever.
Born July 18, 1960, to James and Agnes Frazier, Sharon grew up in Archdale, NC with her two older siblings Rick Frazier and Donna Frazier Kennon, and younger brother Jeff Frazier. She attended Trinity High School where she graduated with the Class of 1979.
Following her true calling, Sharon entered the Cosmetology program at Leon's Beauty School in Greensboro, NC. During her 35+ year career in cosmetology, Sharon owned, operated, and managed numerous salons in North Carolina and Mississippi. She absolutely cherished the relationships she developed with her customers while helping them look and feel their best.
Despite her many accomplishments, Sharon wouldn't hesitate if asked of what she is most proud; her children. She gave birth to and raised her daughter, Kelli Martin Dildine, and her son, Heath Kimber-Martin. She also played a fundamental role in raising her stepson, Jacob Lowe, whom she claimed as her own. Her love and affection for each is immeasurable and stands as a true example of unconditional love.
In 2005, Sharon met her best friend and true love, Jim Lowe. Throughout their relationship, and subsequent marriage, Sharon and Jim enjoyed travel, dining out, gathering with family and friends, and making a home together. Notably, they simply enjoyed each other's company and were content just being with one another. Together they found and experienced true, unconditional love and its unending nature.
A fierce defender of the fragile and underprivileged, Sharon had absolutely no tolerance for cruelty towards animals. She was an advocate for pet rescue, adoption, and no-kill shelters. She and her rescue dog, Fievel, maintain a bond of loyalty and dedication without end.
Sharon is survived by her husband, mother, children, siblings, numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, and Fievel. She was joyously reunited with her beloved father Jimmy upon her passing.
A celebration of Sharon's life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Angels of Assisi, 415 Campbell Avenue SW, Roanoke, VA 24016 – (540) 344-8707.

Oh how this breaks my heart .... Beautiful Sharon was a classmate, graduating with me in 1979 and then was my hairdresser for many, many years. Always perfectly dressed, with perfect makeup, hair and nails. Such a beautiful friend inside and out. Prayers for the family !
