Sharon Maas Obituary

Published by Legacy on Aug. 29, 2025.
With love and gratitude we remember the life of Sharon Schick Maas who was born on September 30, 1945 in San Antonio, Texas as a bright spirit that would go on to touch so many lives. Sharon passed away August 26, 2025, filled with love and surrounded by family.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She cherished time spent with family and friends, always cheering on her sons in their sporting events as they grew up and never missing an opportunity to give her grandchildren lots of hugs and kisses.

Her passions reflected her creative and joyful spirit. She loved art, playing tennis, photography, beading, sewing, and country music - always dancing along to her favorite songs. She was also an incredible cook, known for her delicious meals and famous baking that brought comfort and smiles to every gathering.

Early in her professional career she dedicated many years to the U.S. civil service, serving her country with distinction through her support of the U.S. Air Force Nursing Corps, GPS initiatives, and other vital military programs. She carried that same sense of dedication into everything she did.

One of her favorite moments was being chosen as Miss Brooks Air Force Base and appearing in the annual San Antonio Fiesta Flambeau Parade.

She lived a life full of care, creativity, and laughter, and leaves behind countless memories that will continue to shine brightly and remain in the hearts of all who knew her.

She is survived by her loving husband, her two sons, three grandchildren, and many extended family members and friends who will deeply miss her presence in their lives.
