Sharon D. Manier passed away peacefully at home with her granddaughter by her side on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at 8:35 a.m.
She was born on November 27, 1947, in Glen Alum, West Virginia, to Thomas Nichols and Ellen Burd (Noe).
Sharon enjoyed gardening, working puzzles, painting, singing, reading her Bible, and caring for animals. She was deeply family oriented and found joy in the simple, meaningful moments of life.
She is survived by her granddaughter, Mykayla Stroehlein; her uncle, Richard Davis; her dear friend, Vera; her nieces, Alisa and Tammy; her nephew, Chris; and her best friend, Phylis Frith.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carl Manier, with whom she traveled the United States; her sons, Jason Armstrong and Rusty Nichols, whom she loved dearly and thought of every day; her sister, Peggy Jennings; her aunt and best friend, Dorthy Davis, with whom she shared many adventures; and another cherished friend, Martha.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Blue Funeral Home, under the direction of Binkley Ross Funeral Home. A visitation will be held at Blue Funeral Home in Goreville, on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., with the memorial service to follow at 1:00 p.m. Burial will take place at Cana Cemetery in Goreville.
