SHARON McCLURE

2025

Sharon passed away at home while surrounded by loved ones on August 21, 2025, she was 79. Born to Eddie and Donna Stephens on January 25, 1946. She was the oldest of five siblings and grew up in a family of business owners that owned multiple gas stations and taverns throughout the Vancouver, Washington, area. After graduating from Battle Ground High School and getting married, she owned a gas station in downtown Vancouver, WA, and Washougal, WA. She had three children with her first husband, Bill, who they raised in Washougal, WA, and then remarrying and eventually settling in Prineville, OR, with her then current husband, Jim. They would make their way back to Vancouver, WA, and after her husband passed away in 2018, she moved back to Battle Ground, WA, and finally resided in La Center, WA. Sharon enjoyed crocheting, gardening, her pets, dog Peaches and cat Lola as well as watching the Seattle Seahawks.
Sharon was preceded in death by her husband, Jim McClure, father and mother Eddie and Donna Stephens, brother Larry Stephens and grandson Johnny Streeter. She is survived by her three daughters, Billie Ek-Bonneau of La Center, WA, Shelley Stafford of Battle Ground, WA, and Bobbie Jo Bright of Vancouver, WA, brother, Kenny Stephens of Vancouver, WA, brother Randy Stephens of Temple, TX, and sister Connie Wilcox of Arizona as well as multiple grand and great-grandchildren.
