Sharon Lynnette McInnis, born on March 6, 1953, passed away in Hot Springs on October 13, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Sharon’s life was a testament to her love for the outdoors; she cherished hiking, canoeing, and spending idyllic moments along the Caddo River. Her passion for cooking brought joy to many family gatherings, where she often delighted her loved ones with her culinary creations. Known for her vibrant personality, Sharon was part of a close-knit group of friends from the 70s, and she never missed a chance to cheer for the Razorback football team. Her beloved animals, Jasmine and Tatonka, were treasured companions throughout her life.
A devoted mother and grandmother, Sharon leaves behind her son, Jonah Dodd (Tonja); along with her daughters, Shannon Hunter, Kim (Clint) Harris, Autumn (Brent) Beaulieu, Heather Adams, and Kira (Joey) Barker. Sister, Cathy Smith; and brother, Gary Rouse. She was a proud grandmother to seventeen grandchildren and a cherished great-grandmother to twenty-seven great-grandchildren. Additionally, Sharon had ten grand dogs who brought her much joy, along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, James Dunn and Leveda Robertson; husband, John McInnis; brother, John Christian; and beloved daughter, Jessica Sunshine Jones.
A Visitation in honor of Sharon will be held on October 16, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Smith Family Funeral Home in Hot Springs, located at 2205 Airport Road, Hot Springs, AR 71913. The family will have a private graveside ceremony later where Sharon will rest next to her special angel, Jessica Sunshine.
Sharon Lynnette McInnis's spirit will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know her. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for her laughter, warmth, and unwavering love for her family and friends.
