Helen lived a very full life as a physician. She was an Emeritus member of the Arkansas Medical Society and received an honor for practicing medicine for over 50 years.
She owned a pediatric clinic in Benton for many years. After she and Bob decided to return to country life, she opened a thriving medical practice in Montgomery County where she served local long term care facilities and residents of the entire county. She often made emergency after hours home visits to rural residents of the county even late into the night with Bob driving her.
Helen loved to tell stories of her experience practicing medicine, especially her time serving residents of the Navajo Nation.
Helen and Bob retired to Bismarck for their remaining years to raise cattle, shop for antiques, grow flowers and enjoy their family, friends and neighbors. Helen grieved for her beloved husband when he passed in 2023 but had recently found her strength and returned to her joy of shopping, visiting friends and traveling.
The family would like to thank Delores Rutherford and Curtis and Rhonda Newland for their care and assistance.
