A Celebration of Life service for Sharon Milburn, age 82, will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 4, 2026, in the Ladusau-Evans Chapel with Pastor Gary Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home and Crematory. The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00-7:00 pm at the funeral home.
Sharon Milburn was born on July 24, 1943, in Guthrie, Oklahoma, to Elmer and Virginia (McNeal) Norris. She passed away peacefully on March 28, 2026, in Enid, Oklahoma.
Sharon graduated from Covington High School and went on to attend Enid Business College. She began her professional career at Evans Drug Company, where she worked for five years before embarking on a long and dedicated career with Southwestern Bell, later AT&T. As a CAD Tech Specialist, Sharon devoted over three decades of service from 1969 until her retirement in November 2003. Following her retirement, she continued to give back to her community through volunteer work with the Oklahoma Blood Institute. She was also a longtime member of the Telephone Pioneers of America during her years with Southwestern Bell/AT&T.
Sharon was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She married Bill Kirkpatrick in 1963, and together they welcomed their son, Richard Kirkpatrick, later that same year on November 9. Sharon took great pride in her family and cherished every moment spent with them. She was especially proud of her grandchildren and found joy in watching their lives unfold.
An avid fan of the Oklahoma Thunder, Sharon rarely missed a game and enjoyed cheering on her favorite team. Her warmth, kindness, and quiet strength will be remembered by all who knew her.
Sharon is survived by her son, Richard Kirkpatrick and his wife Pam of Jenks, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Amy Chapman of Conway, Arkansas, and Ryan and Sarah Kirkpatrick of Jenks, Oklahoma; one brother, Bill Norris and his wife Val of Nampa, Idaho; her niece Renae Heald and nephew Heath Norris; two sisters, Gwen Hopkins and her husband Gary of The Colony, Texas, along with their son William Hopkins; and Maralene Thomas and her husband David of Enid, Oklahoma.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Virginia Norris.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home and Crematory serving as custodians of the funds.
