Sharon K. Miller

1942 - 2026

Sharon K. Miller, 83, of Greensburg, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on July 19, 1942, in Aurora, Indiana, the daughter of Jesse and Geraldine (Gregory) Mirick. Sharon attended New Point High School. She married Larry Edward Miller on April 1, 1962, and they shared a devoted life together until his passing on March 6, 2021.

Sharon worked as an inspector at Batesville Casket Company for three years before serving as a nursing aide at Dryer House Nursing Home for five years. She later joined Union Furniture Factory as an inspector, where she remained for 13 years until her retirement in 1999.

Throughout her life, Sharon enjoyed fishing with her mother and brother Don, bingo, bird watching, and working puzzle books-simple pastimes that brought her relaxation and joy. After her retirement, she and Larry enjoyed traveling in their motorhome, spending time with family and friends, playing cards, and riding their motorcycle. She was also a member of Smyrna Lutheran Church.

Sharon is survived by her daughter, Debra (George) Roccia; three grandchildren, Scott (fiancee, Betsy), Curtis (fiancee, Justina, and her daughters), and Kristine (and her four-legged companion, Hank); one great-grandchild, Landon Roccia; her brother, Donald Mirick; her sister, Carolyn (Jack) Powers; sisters-in-law, Arlene Parker, Peggy (Joe) Weil, and Sue (Dan) Hahn; brothers-in-law, Doug (Beth) Miller and Dyar (Bertha) Miller; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Larry; her daughter, Donna Sue Miller; her sister, Betty Roszelle; her niece, Annette Mirick; sisters-in-law, Deanna Mirick and Hariett Miller; and brothers-in-law, Carl Roszelle, Lowell Miller, James Miller, and Jack Parker.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 2, 2026, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home. An additional hour of visitation will take place on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., also at the funeral home, with the funeral service beginning at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Smyrna Lutheran Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Lung Association.
