Sharon Marie (Krenek) Moore, affectionately known as Sherry to her friends and family, passed away peacefully on May 17, 2025, in La Grange, Texas. Born on January 2, 1958, in Columbus, Texas, Sherry was a beacon of light and joy to all who knew her throughout her 67 years of life.
After graduating from Blinn College Nursing School, Sherry dedicated her life to the care and well-being of others. She began her career as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), and her compassion and skill in nursing were evident to all her patients and colleagues. Sherry later transitioned to home health nursing, where she continued to provide exceptional care with kindness and empathy until her retirement.
Sherry's life was a testament to love, both in her professional career and her personal life. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Butch Moore, with whom she shared many cherished years. The legacy of their love lived on through their two daughters, Bridget and her husband Mike, and Brittany and her husband Allan. Sherry was a devoted mother and an adoring grandmother to her grandchildren, Addi, Ally, Maelyn, Lily, and Cohen. Her unwavering support and pride in her family's endeavors were a source of strength and inspiration.
Family was the cornerstone of Sherry's life. She found her greatest joy in the moments spent with her daughters and their families. Whether it was a simple family dinner, a holiday celebration, or cheering on her grandchildren at their various activities, Sherry's presence was always a highlight. Her laughter was infectious, and her ability to make every family member feel loved and valued was one of her most endearing qualities.
Sherry's interests extended beyond her work and family; she cherished the time spent with her friends. Her warmth and generosity made her a beloved member of her community. She had an uncanny ability to forge deep and lasting friendships, and her home was often filled with laughter, conversation, and the presence of those she held dear.
Throughout her life, Sherry embodied the virtues of kindness, dedication, and love. She left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her spirit, characterized by her selflessness and joy for life, will continue to live on in the memories of her family and friends.
As we bid farewell to Sherry, we celebrate the extraordinary life she led and the countless ways she enriched the lives of those around her. Her story is not one of sorrow but a beautiful narrative of a life well-lived, filled with love, service, and the cherished moments that weave the tapestry of a life that was truly meaningful.
Sherry's memory will be held in the hearts of many, serving as a guiding light and a reminder of the profound impact one life can have. She will be deeply missed, but her legacy of compassion, family, and friendship will endure forever.
Sherry's family will honor her life and memory on Friday May 30th, reflecting on the love and light she brought into this world. Her passing is not an end but a celebration of a life that was lived to the fullest, and the immeasurable love she gave and received. Rest in peace, Sherry; your spirit remains with us always.
She is survived by daughters: Bridget Kibby and husband, Mike; Brittany Nevlud and husband, Allan; grandchildren: Addi, Ally, Maelyn, Lily and Cohen; sister, Terri McPherson and husband, Brandy; brother-in-law, Jeff Moore and wife, Anita; and sister-in-law, Angie Henk and husband, John; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin and Una Mae Krenek; husband, Butch Moore; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Arlie and Ethel Moore.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Sherry´s family. Knowing Sherry was a true blessing in my life. She will be so missed. She was truly the best nurse I ever worked with. She was smart and always had funny stories to tell. Sherry I love you and will miss you. All those plans we had are going to have to wait. I rest in knowing you now walk with angels.
