In Loving Memory of Sharon Marie Moore
May 3, 1958 - December 31, 2025
Sharon Marie Moore, age 67, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2025, in
Detroit, Michigan, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on May 3, 1958, in Detroit to Gordon G. and Lolita M. (née Upchurch) Uhl. Sharon was the eldest of four children-a role she carried with care, strength, and love throughout her life.
Sharon met the love of her life, Charles "Chuck" Moore, while working a shift at a local bar. From the very beginning, their connection was undeniable. They were married in Fairhaven, Michigan, in their grandparents' backyard, a setting as warm and meaningful as the love they shared. Their marriage was built on a deep knowing that they were meant for one another-a constant, steady love that never wavered. Together for more than twenty-five years, Sharon and Chuck shared a life full of devotion, laughter, and loving partnership.
Above all else, Sharon was a devoted mother and grandmother. She loved her children and grandchildren fiercely, and there was nothing she wouldn't do for her family. She took immense pride in being both a mother and grandmother. Some of Sharon's happiest moments were spent with her grandchildren, creating memories filled with warmth, joy, and unconditional love that will be treasured forever.
Her heart belonged to the water. Growing up boating on Lake St. Clair, Sharon carried that love with her throughout her life, eventually moving from Algonac to St. Clair Shores. She continued the boating tradition as she grew older, passing it down to her children and grandchildren. Her love of the water even inspired family vacations to the Outer Banks in North Carolina, creating cherished memories by the shore.
Sharon found comfort and joy in life's simple pleasures. She enjoyed watching crime shows and Hallmark movies, coloring, and working on puzzles. An avid reader, she was always willing to try any book recommended to her-although, she didn't always promise to finish it. Sharon also loved gathering around a table to play card games, especially rummy and euchre, and she greatly enjoyed a good game of dominoes. These moments of togetherness reflected who she was-someone who valued connection, laughter, and time spent with the people she loved most.
Sharon Marie Moore will be remembered for her deep love for family, her gentle spirit, and the steady presence she brought into the lives of all who knew her. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of her husband, children, grandchildren, and all who were blessed to share in her life.
Beloved wife of Chuck Moore. Adored mother of Ashley (Gary) Haack, Gwendolynn (Erika) Martin-Moore, Casey (Ron) Markovitch, and Hali (Brandon) Moore.
