Sharon Ann O'Brien passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on November 3rd, 2024.
Sharon, a beloved wife, beloved and cherished mother, sister, aunt, and cherished grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She is preceded in death by her loving parents, Donald Hagstrom and Ella Hagstrom, her mother-in-law Theresa O'Brien, her brother Ronald Hagstrom and her nephew Paul Hagstrom.
Sharon is survived by her beloved husband, Kevin O'Brien, her beloved daughters, Elle Frisbie (AKA Shelley) and Amy (Dylan) Ostrowski, brother Arnold Hagstrom, her beloved and cherished grandchildren Russell (Kristin) Gerke, Travis Gerke, Jacob Gerke, Ja'leah O'Brien And Jaxon O'Brien. Cherished great grandchildren Kolten Gerke, Carter Gerke, Xavier Gerke, Addilynn Henry And Zella Gerke. A nephew, James Hagstrom, her beloved nephew Ronnie Schan, and cherished great niece Frida Hagstrom. Her treasured pets Oreo, Lucy and Luna. She also leaves behind many friends and all those who cared and loved her immensely. She will be missed and not a day will go by where she isn't thought of and remembered for her heart of gold, feisty attitude and straight forward way of telling it like it is. She loved to laugh! She enjoyed social media to keep in touch with her family and friends, Sharon lived her life to the fullest, and enjoyed being outside in the sun and decorating her yard in every way possible, gardening, crafting and was always working on something new or improving all things around her. Sharon loved the holiday season and always went all out with decorating for each holiday. She loved every genre of music and karaoke, enjoyed camping, loved to barbecue and shopping! She adored lady bugs as well. She will be missed dearly and never forgotten.
A memorial visitation for Sharon will take place on Tuesday, November 12th from 2pm-7pm followed by a 7pm service all held at Charles Step Funeral Home located at 18425 Beech Daly (between 6 and 7 Mile) in Redford, MI 48240. In lieu of flowers, donations in Sharon's honor can be made to assist with her memorial expenses. A celebration of life for Sharon will be held on July 19, 2025. Please inquire with Elle or Amy for more information.
