Sharon Denise Plummer

Funeral Services for Sharon Denise Plummer, 66, of Dermott, AR will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, March 22, 2025. Service will be held at Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church, 1109 North School Street, Dermott; Rev. Michael Wolfe, Pastor, Rev. Bernard Miller, Officiating Minister.

Sharon was born on October 25, 1958 to James Thomas, Sr. and Mary Louise Hester Thomas in Lake Village, Arkansas. She attended school at Dermott High School and graduated with the class of 1977. After high school, she obtained an Associate Degree in Nursing(LPN) and worked at Dermott City Nursing Home and McGehee/Desha County Hospital. Sharon's favorite pasttime was fishing.

Sharon passed away on March 13, 2025 at McGehee/Desha County Hospital. She is survived by three children, DeMarcus Plummer, of Pine Bluff, AR, James Plummer, Sr. (Amanda), and Kowana Plummer-Powell (Lamar) of Conway, AR; her father, James "Boots" Thomas of Dermott; eight grandchildren Jamesha, Deanna, Demarcus, Jr., James, Jr., and Marcasia Plummer, Kelton Barnes, Kamiah Powell and Kortlin Powell and five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Micheal Thomas of Maumelle, AR, Jerry Thomas, Sr. (Cathy) of Meridianville, AL, and one sister, Venecia Graham (Jerry) of Conway, AR.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Mary Louise Thomas and three siblings, James Thomas, Jr., Aubrey Thomas, and Larry Thomas.

Public viewing will be held from 5-6 p.m. and visitation for the family will be held from 6-7 p.m. Friday at Dillard Funeral Home, 111 North Freeman Street, Dermott, AR.

Burial will take place at Woodson Temple Cemetery, Highway 82/65, Lake Village, AR. Services entrusted to Dillard Funeral Home, 111 North Freeman Street, Dermott.
