It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dr. Sharon Ewell
Prentice of Burke Virginia. Sharon, 75 passed in the early hours of Saturday,
April 5, 2025.Sharon was born in Panama City Florida on February 28th, 1950, to
Lt. Col. Willian T Ewell and Rev. Rachel A Ewell.
Sharon was a passionate advocate for mental, spiritual health and healing and helped many people during
her years as a counselor and therapist. She was also a passionate advocate for
animals of all kinds and contributed her talents to various rescue organizations
and causes advocating for better care and treatment of both pets and farm
animals. Sharon had many talents that she shared with the world, a Doctor of
Psychology, an author, mentor to so many, tacky leopard print enthusiast, and
most importantly a Wife, Mother, Nana, and best friend. She will be remembered
and missed by so many. There are simply not enough words to describe her
impact on the lives of so many.
Sharon leaves behind her loving husband of over
40 years Jerry, her son, Stephen Grasser, and his wife, Hope, and grandchildren
Stephen Prentice Grasser, Lillie Jewell Grasser, and Abby Rose Grasser and of
course her companion animals Alora and Luna. She is preceded in death by her
late husband, Stephen Grasser Sr, her daughter, Stephanie Grasser, and parents
William and Rachel Ewell and so many pets who have crossed the Rainbow
Bridge, where she will continue to watch over the ones she loved.
